The Oregon Coast
No matter how you like to spend your time at the beach, the Oregon Coast has something to offer. Every inch of the 363-mile coastline is public land and open for you to explore. Start your morning out with a leisurely walk on the beach or a brisk jog in the refreshing sea air, and then head to Depoe Bay to visit the Whale Watch Center or charter a boat to get up close to the resident pod of Gray Whales. Hike the dunes or roast marshmallows over an impromptu fire pit while you watch the sun vanish into the Pacific. Scuba diving, surfing, fishing and riding ATVs are also very popular ways to enjoy the sand and surf on the Oregon Coast.
There are also lots of ways to enjoy yourself without getting your toes in the sand. World-class golf courses, fine dining, art galleries, antiques, shopping, museums and exhibits are all within minutes of the beach. Wherever you are on the Oregon Coast, there is always something new and exciting to do.
